On a refrigerator, you can easily stick up a layer of five or six pieces of paper. Gosh, you can almost pull your fridge around with one of these. The diameter of the plastic base is 0.75". Playing with them & being reckless I pinched my fingers twice before I learned to respect just how strong these magnets are. I would use extreme caution using them around electronic items. If you have some old magnetic audio tapes & want them thoroughly erased, these Magnetic Pins would certainly do the job. Under cautious adult supervision these are great kids learning tools.
